This is a cosmetic technique using tattoos to produce designs of makeup, such as eyelining and other micro-pigmentation enhancing the face, lips and eyelids, especially for people have lost the hair due to old age, disease, such as alopecia, chemotherapy or genetic disturbance and to disguise scars and white spots. It is also used to restore or enhance the areola, after breast surgery.

Undesirable or imperfect permanent makeup can be difficult to remove. Common techniques used for removal are laser, dermabrasion and surgical procedures. Camouflaging is a non invasive method by adding a skin tone pigment which counteracts the tattoo color and attempts to emulate normal skin color to make a color correction.
All treatments and procedures starts with before photos taken and subsequent after pictures for comparing to see the improvements. After-care instructions must be followed to help to heal or recover properly.
