DO IT SCARED really took off for her in this segment. You can tell she harnesses that saying more than ever and let’s it fuel her progression. Hype Mom Whitney is also extremely helpful throughout this journey as you can hear!

I can’t believe how quickly she progressed over this stage. She went from barely being able to kick push on her board to fully dropping in and doing kick turns in transition. The best part of it all is it’s just fun for her. The progression is just naturally occurring.

Don’t get me wrong. I know I have a big role in it by teaching her and staying patient with her when she’s full of fear. I’m very thankful for all the memories that skateboarding brought me and I hope she grows up feeling the same. It’s most definitely the hardest of action sports to get good at. Takes so much mental strength to keep getting up over and over, then to finally land a trick. It’s frustrating to it’s max at times and rewarding to its max moments later.

Even if she said she never wants to skate again. We’d be fine with it because we know that the core of skateboarding will stick with her forever. That core is what picks you up when you fail and tells you to try again. It’s resilience passes through so many things in life.

So get out there, grab a board and go roll around. Trust me, you will have a smile when you do!

This wraps up our series of Cashy’s skate progression for now and really hope y’all enjoyed this little look back into that journey. If you’ve seen all the parts, we’d love to know your favorite!

Much love ❤️
