"Outpost 31" Ambiance is a
"Outpost 31" Ambiance is a chilling world of dark ambient music set in a backdrop of darkness and an unyielding snow Storm . This dark atmospheric soundscape unfolds against the canvas of a desolate U.S. Antarctic Research Center, where a relentless snowstorm creates an eerie and captivating atmosphere where one among the occupants of Outpost 31 is not who they seem.
As a very young child there were two movies that literally scared the hell out of me... Jaws and.... The Thing. I stayed out of the ocean for decades and was afraid of sled dogs for a good number of years. LOL!! You don't take a 4 year old to see a giant shark movie let alone a sci-fi body horror movie. Despite the fear the movie stayed with me for the rest of my life. It's truly a masterpiece (both of them) and one I hope to honor in this fan made ambient soundscape using no clips or sounds from the movie at all.
HIDDEN GEM: There's an Easter Egg hidden in this 1 hour dark ambient video where I painstakingly recreated (to the best of my ability, and at the very least the mood of it, using random found sounds) a moment from the movie. A few who haven't seen the movie may find it disturbing others will have that “Aha!” moment. If you find it please comment “Kibbles” and any other feedback you'd like to offer. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this piece. Please don't ruin the search for it by giving away the time stamp, however.
