In 1916 Charlie Chaplin built
In 1916 Charlie Chaplin built his own small studio in an orange grove in the farming area north of Los Angles. Hollywoodland. We let him give us a quick tour.
He built a false front that looks like English row houses and put his footprints and signed the wet cement just off the public sidewalk.
Later it became a television studio and Red Skelton produced his TV show here. In the 60's it became a recording studio for A and M records. All the Herb Alpert albums were recorded here. Then Jim Henson took over making Muppet TV shows and movies. The Disney studios now make the Muppet shows here.
