What to Sow in May [Zones 5 and 6]

May is a busy month in your backyard garden if you live in Zones 5 and 6.  This video will tell you what to plant in your vegetable garden during the month of May.  It also gives you some hints on what to be planting indoors as well.

This is the May edition of our monthly vegetable planting guide for Zones 5 and 6.  Don’t forget to check google to find your last frost date for your area.  Cool-season crops can be planted 4 to 6 weeks before your last frost.  Warm-season crops need to wait until the threat of frosts passes.

Warm Season Vegetables to plant outdoors by transplant

Melons  Zucchini  Crookneck Patty Pan
Pumpkin Butternut  Spaghetti Banana
Cucumbers Potatoes  Beans  Herbs
Okra  Collards  Parsnips
