1) Dhaka National Medical College is a top private medical college in Dhaka, Bangladesh
2) It was founded and established in the year 1994 as the Dhaka National Medical Institute which was then situated near Bahadur Shah Park, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
3) The college offers a five-year course of study, affiliated with Dhaka University approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), National Medical Commission (NMC) and World Health Organisation (WHO).
4) The medical college has a well-built campus with huge modernised lecture halls, well equipped with audio visual aids, overhead projectors and air-conditioned, modern lab facilities and dissection halls.
5) The library of the medical college is located on the 6th floor with a huge 8000 square floor space and two air-conditioned reading rooms providing with more than 5000 books for the students.
6) At one time 48 children can use the reading rooms. The library has a huge collection of course books, reference books and journals.
7) Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. A total of 100 students for boy’s hostel and 35 students for girl’s hostel can take their meals at a time in dining room. TV facilities are available at dining room for girl’s hostel. Water purifiers are present for the students to avail pure drinking water at dining room for boys and girls hostel. Meals are cooked by male/female cook according to the student’s choice for boys and girls hostel. The hostels are well maintained with proper hygiene, supervision and high security.
8) There is always an Uninterrupted power supply by modern automated generator system both in Hospital and College for 24 hours.
9) It has more than 650-bedded multidisciplinary hospital complex adjacent to the academic building. The hospital provides all modern facilities for its inpatients and outpatients.
10) The distance of the college from Dhaka international airport is 20kms that is 1 hour and easily commuted within short distance roadways and railways.
