Make your Sonicare Toothbrush Last Forever

Current version of Sonicare toothbrush
Current version of Sonicare toothbrush I recommend: https://amzn.to/4aqG8xj Electric toothbrushes have an inherent problem of trying to waterproof the internal electronics. The combination of constant water flowing downwards through a seal that vibrates means the water WILL get through pretty quickly and kill your toothbrush. High-end toothbrushes have a non-replaceable battery which means it will eventually fail and you will have a useless toothbrush while the rest of the until still functions just fine.
To mitigate the durability problem, simply remove the brushhead and place the toothbrush upside down in a cup so that the film of water will drain away from the electronics. If you have a sealed "high-end" toothbrush, it's a bit late but you can still get the most life out of it by using this method until the internal battery dies.
For those new to electric toothbrushes, they are great for oral hygiene when used properly. If you get the AA powered ones with an add-on rechargeable battery while parking it upside down after each use, it then become a setup that will last a very long time.
If you would like to mimic this 'forever' toothbrush method I have been doing for the past 5 years (less the fact you still need to replace the brushheads every 3 months), here are the links to the product I recommend:

Btw, Eneloops are NiMH batteries. They have a high discharge current that make it ideal to power motors such as that in the electric toothbrush. They also have great shelf life from having a very low self discharge current. Typical NiMH batteries have a much higher self discharge current which means they discharge itself if you just let it sit. .
