Why Obito acted so funny when he was Tobi? When Obito disguised himself as a member of the Akatsuki he adopted this funny personality. Tobi is the funniest character in Naruto Shippuden, and probably of the entire Naruto series. It's only after Tobi is thought to be dead after the Sasuke vs Deidara fight that we get the reveal Tobi is Madara. He wasn't actually Madara, this was Obito faking it once more. We see fights like Tobi vs Konan, Tobi vs Naruto, Obito even declares war against the Ninja World, starting the 4th Great Ninja War, and we still think he is Madara.
