Hi friends, 6 years ago I bought and reviewed the 24 (plus 2) set of mission gold pure pigment watercolors: https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/IFTAQoJmmeU I really liked them and they were an excellent value. Pure pigment means single pigment. I recently say the 24 set was on sale for $20 less than I paid for the first set so I considered buying a backup. When I compared the new set to the old I noticed that there were 7 different colors in it that I was keen to try so I ordered it since the price was too good to pass up and the colors are ones I would use. Here is that listing: https://amzn.to/3SkpJSc *still on sale at the time of recording! I think they discounted the 24 sets because they now sell a 34 pure pigment set: https://amzn.to/3fbg0j9 but the price per tube is higher ($3.94 a tube vs 2.58 a tube in the 24 set-not counting the "free" tubes of black and white in the 24 set) Still, a good value for the quality I think. I also noticed a 17-color pure pigment set (but it is almost as much as the 24 set on sale) https://amzn.to/3E2spQT these clock in at $3.46 a tube I think if you have been curious about Mission gold watercolors the 24 pure pigment set is the way to go because it is the lowest per ml price for the paint and they mix very well being single pigment colors. https://amzn.to/3R1kOVj Here are the colors they removed from the set I purchased 6 years ago: W575 Scarlet Lake (they reformulated this color as well in the line) W511 Permanent Red W573 Cherry Red W601 Indian Red W514 Crimson Lake W572 Perelyne Maroon W544 Prussian Blue Here are the colors they added in the new 24 set: W622 Autumn Orange W623 Quin Violet W624 Diox Violet W631 Pthalo Blue (it's a PB15:6 version, red shade, I think this is fine as their Cereleun blue is really a PB15:3 pthalo blue green shade)) W625 Burnt Sienna #2 (PR102) W616 Cadmium Green Deep (PB36) W590 Cobalt Turquoise Hue (PB28 but a very bright and clear one!) I am very happy with my re-buy, not only did I get 7 new colors but I stocked up on some useful ones too! I didn't see a 48 pure pigment set available and I checked Blick and Jerries as I knew they stocked them at one time but it looks like Blick no longer carries them and Jerry's is out of stock on most tubes (and the prices are quite high.) Amazon seems to be the place to go for this line of paint, I think you are buying directly from the factory because they have always been 1/3 or the price compared to other USA retailers when I do see the paint available, Single tubes are pricey on Amazon as well.
