BioEdit Input Output sequence Files

This Video tutorial to demonstrates different ways of getting sequences in and out of BioEdit. BioEdit can read many formats including most commonly used  fasta (.fa, .fas, .fasta), Genbank (.gb or .gbk) and clustal (.aln) formats. Sequences can be opened in their individual windows inside main BioEdit window by using "File - open" or clicking the folder button  at the top left corner.  If you have a sequence open and want to get other sequences in the existing window, use "File - Import" option or "File - Import from Clipboard'  option.  If you have set BioEdit as a default program to open sequence files, then double clicking the sequence file will automatically open it in new BioEdit window.
