الحرية، عملة نادرة صعبة المنال خصوصاً في العديد من دول الوطن العربي والشرق الأوسط.
مثل حرية التعبير عن الرأي كمواطن عربي، كاتب، صحفي، محلل سياسي.
فقد أصبحت الحرية هي الدافع الأساسي للعديد من الناس التي أدت بهم لهجرة الأوطان.
ولكن، هل نحن مستعدون للانخراط بالثقافة الغربية وتقبل الحرية بكافة أنواعها ؟

هذه تجربتي الخاصة  بعد الهجرة الى كندا.

Freedom is a very rare commodity for many people in the Arab world and Middle Eastern countries. Freedom of speech, freedom to express your opinion, to write, to report, or even to oppose your government and their political regime.

Acquiring these freedoms became a goal for many people where I come from, hoping for a better future.

But are we ready to merge into Western culture and embrace all the freedoms they have?

I had a recent incident with my neighbours since moving to the City of Toronto as an immigrant. The incident shows how Canadian culture is very liberal and open-minded, even sexually!
