But after the bladed chips, I took matters into my hands and taught AJ how to chip a golf ball. My technique is effortless and just takes a bit of grooving. AJ was using the hand flipping and weight on the back foot technique. I must stress, if you’re trying to break 100 in golf, while you may have an eye for other people’s swings, I can almost guarantee that diagnosing your own swing problems and then looking for a fix on Youtube will end in catastrophe. We need to be realistic. It would be better to trust the swing you have and if you really don’t, go see a reputable professional. And then realize that swing changes take months and years to implement. Small tips like ball position, swinging 75% instead of 100% etc can be very helpful as instant fixes if delivered by someone who can watch your swing. But taking the confusion from the range to the course is going to spoil your round. Relax and enjoy the game without thinking of your swing. When on the range, practice your most common clubs and practice a full round including tee shots, approaches and pitches.
