This video covers the Horn of Africa Origins of Proto-Afro-Asiatic. Leon Bender (1997) proposed a scenario upon linguistic grounds wherein Semitic languages originated in Ethiopia in the Horn of Africa and crossed the Red Sea. Christopher Ehret, S.O.Y Ketia and Paul Newman (2004) proposed placed the Afro-Asiatic homeland in the Horn of Africa as well. The geography of the E-M35/E-M215 lineage could be of Horn African origin which largely is concordant with the range of Afro-Asiatic.
