Ron Finley is a horticultural artist and social impact evangelist who passionately preaches the gospel of taking back your health, learning how to eat and growing your own food. Based out of South Central L.A., The Ron Finley Project seeks to bring a new way of thinking and new opportunities to people in urban communities through gardening. Simply put, he wants everyone to just "grow some shit"!
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
