In this video we discuss Molecular Orbital Theory (MO Theory) in quantum mechanics. We briefly review LCAO (Linear Combination of Atomic Orbitals) as a way to visualize molecular orbitals. We discuss the energies and shapes of bonding and antibonding orbitals and cover gerade and ungerade designations.
