Life also has no answer to every “why”. We never expected it- the loss of a son, a best friend, a lover. We grieve with silent tears, looking back on the moments of the past days, past months, past years. All those memories of him, his warm smile, his giggles, his favorite songs, will always bring smile to our faces. We mindless wish we had one last hour to have him near. Then we could sit and talk again, sing and laugh again, like we used to. Fact that he’s no longer here will always drive us into pain, pain that no loss can compare. We will never breath as strong as we did before July 19th. Our hearts will never bear a scar. Knowing that no words can speak the sorrow, no songs can sing the mourning, left us in ache. People say time will heal. People say there is a reason. But neither time nor reason will change the way we feel. It has been 40 days of grieving, no one counts how many times we have broken and cried, how many times we lie behind our smiles. So there won’t be any doubt to say that he’s hard to be without, yet so wonderful to think about. Losing him was a bitter wrench we can never bear. We cried until our tears run out, and then cried some more. But we know this is not his wish for us that we would be forever sad. So we try to remind ourselves of the happy times we had, of his amazing voice that we would never hear again but would stay forever in our hearts and minds. So here we are, reminiscing him, celebrating his life. May you all feel the love flowing through this song, touch your hearts and bring peace.
