Welcome to Episode 29 of Carpe Diem Sailing.  Along with wind, propwalk is one of the biggest issues sailors face when docking or undocking their boats but it can also be a very useful tool. Often when propwalk is not well understood the boat appears to have a mind of its own. In this video I explain what causes prop-walk and how to mitigate its effects, as well as how to use prop-walk to advantage in close quarters docking situations.
