The Prion Protein Alteration Zombie Plague | Off the Record: SCP - 008 Explored

A version of SCP - 008 is something we as a species struggle with very seldom, but is still a reality. Prions are pieces of misshapen protein that once upon coming into contact with your standard protein, will misshape them as well which creates a cascading runaway effect. Eventually this will result in coma and eventual end through loss of neural tissue. With SCP - 008 however, this would ultimately leave the afflicted with more resilient tissue, and a hunger for flesh.
