The image of many municipal councilors is that they only meet for a few hours per week to talk about art at roundabouts, but it has turned out that many of them are nearly crushed by their jobs. Little time with the family, no holidays, poor pay. From the government they get more and more to do, resulting in frustrations, quarrels, and even threats.
