HIGHLINE TRAIL in Glacier National
HIGHLINE TRAIL in Glacier National Park to Grinnell Glacier Overlook- BEST Day Hike in Glacier National Park! 15 mile hike from Logan Pass to Haystack Butte and on to Grinnell Glacier over 15 miles on the Highline Trail out and back instead of the Loop.
I wanted to do a big hike in Glacier National Park and I sure did pick it! The Highline Trail is one of the most famous trails in Glacier and I wanted to do all of it! I didn't realize the final .6 mile to the Grinnell Glacier overlook had an elevation gain of 1000 feet. It was brutal and steep, but I got to see so many things along the way: Mountain Goats, Rams or Longhorn Sheep, Marmots, Wildflowers, Grinnell Glacier and the Granite Park Chalet in the distance!
It was a ridiculously long hike that left me crawling back to the van and was totally worth it!
