In Shushan's city fair and
In Shushan's city fair and bright,
A tale of courage in the night,
A queen of beauty, Esther named,
In whom the Hebrew bloodline flamed.
King Ahasuerus on his throne,
With opulence, his kingdom shone,
He sought a queen, a radiant star,
To grace his palace from afar.
From every region, young and fair,
Maidens came with hope to bear,
But Esther, like a hidden gem,
Was chosen, pleasing unto him.
Yet, Esther kept her faith concealed,
For danger loomed, a plot unsealed,
The wicked Haman, filled with spite,
Conspired to harm her people's light.
Her uncle Mordecai, so wise,
Discovered this dark enterprise,
He urged her not to stay her hand,
To save her kin from Haman's plan.
In royal robes, she stood her ground,
To intercede for those renowned,
For Israel, she boldly pled,
Before the king, her heart outspread.
The decree was changed, and Haman fell,
In a twist of fate, as stories tell,
The Jewish people, saved from woe,
In unity, their strength did grow.
The Book of Esther, a tale so grand,
A testament to courage's stand,
A story of hope and faith's allure,
In history, a light so pure.
In every chapter, in each line,
A lesson in the grand design,
Of destiny, and faith's embrace,
In Esther's courage, we find grace.
So, let this tale forever shine,

A testament to righting wrong.
