Kenwood vs Kenwood eXcelon! Is there really a 1 volt difference between these two pre-amps? The Kenwood DMX7706s is a great double din CarPlay radio featuring a supposed 4 volt pre-amp with digital time alignment, 13 band EQ, built-in crossovers and iDatalink Maestro compatibility. So why should you splurge on a Kenwood eXcelon model? Some eXcelon models such as the DDX9907XR feature a 5 volt pre-amp output. But is it really 5 volts? Or just a marketing ploy? Is there really a difference in the pre-amps between these two models?
