Testing The Homemade Sluice. Getting Garnets & Gold!

We went back out to
We went back out to Idaho City and I tested out my $15 homemade sluice and was not disappointed, I got a lot of garnets and got some gold! I still have a little bit of cons to go through at home and so far it has all had a lot of garnets in it that I am separating and putting into little glass jars.
The sluice was made of just a rain gutter piece and some kitty litter mat that I cut and secured with some nuts and bolts. The mat is similar to miners moss and was great for this budget experiment. Next test I will catch the runoff and see what was missed and be sure to level it better.
