What is Accreditation?

This November, Ogden School District will participate in the rigorous process of a system-wide accreditation. Upon completion, Ogden School District will be only the second district in the State of Utah to reach system-wide accreditation status. Systems accreditation means that all of the schools in the district (elementary, junior and high schools) are accredited by Cognia, one of the largest educational accreditation bodies in the world.

During this review, more than 100 teachers, leaders, parents, community members and students will be interviewed. The review team will also review data and documentation of virtually every aspect of our school district. At the conclusion of this process, we will receive a report from Cognia which will detail where we are performing well and insights into areas where we can make improvements.
