Know About World's First Electronic Tabla Touch Developed By Kuljit Bhamra(a british music composer) & Keda Music Ltd.

1. Our desire was to create a high-end professional instrument with high quality sounds which could expand the scope of performance for tabla players, and also raise awareness of tabla in other cultures where people are 'scared' to learn to play. We have found that newcomers are not 'scared' of the Tabla Touch!
2. All the drum sounds and different tunings have been sampled in Kuljit's recording studio using high quality drums, microphones and recording equipment.
3. The base is constructed of oak wood. We think that this combination represents British Indian culture in a nice way.
4. Our patented hit detection system was designed by our electronics expert from MIT, and it recognises the subtleties and nuances of tabla playing.
5. The unit can be connected to other sound modules and a computer via MIDI to trigger other sounds and also create tabla score music to print out. This is useful for western composers who like to compose music including tabla.
6. The unit weighs approximately 3kg and offers a portable option for musicians who travel with a band or orchestra.
7. Tuning of the drums can be done immediately by turning a dial.
8. The unit also has a setting which converts it into a left-handed model.
