Goan Coconut Chicken Recipe

Ingredients required for chicken marinade
800g chicken pieces (curry cut)
4-5 garlic cloves
2 tbsp coriander leaves
3-4 green chillies
2” ginger piece
1 lime juice
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt

Ingredients required for masala paste
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1” cinnamon stick
1 black cardamom
4 cloves
6 pepper corns
10-12 red chillies (Goan local variety)
1 small onion
1 green chilly
1/2 cup fresh coconut
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Tamarind (marble size, soaked in hot water)
1 tsp oil
Water as required

Other ingredients required while cooking
2 medium onion (finely chopped)
3 small potatoes (cut into half)
1 1/2 cups water
Garnish with cilantro
Salt to taste
1/2 tbsp ghee
Oil
