Note: I added another video showing a slightly different approach: see link at the end of this video or look at my video list. The difference is in the position of the origin of the reciprocal lattice. The results are the same, since vectors may be redrawn from any point you want. In particular, k' (scattered wave) can be redrawn from the center of the sample to make it closer to experimental reality. The configuration used in this video is that used in Ashroft-Mermin book.
