Hi.This Is Easy Medicosis platform and We are very Happy to see you guys here .. Clonidine and Methyl Dopa are the centrally acting Sympatholytic Agents of Anti Hypertensive Drugs .. Basically they act on the alpha 2 A receptor in the vasomoter center of the brainstem and Activate it and thus decrease sympathetic outflow and act on heart and blood vessels and when it act on heart it decrease heart rate and when it act on blood vessel it decrease pheripheral vascular resistance and eventually it lead to decrease blood pressure.
:Uses Of clonidine and Methyl dopa are : Propylaxis of migraine,hypertension and dibetic neuropathy.
:Side Effects : parotid gland swelling, hypotension ,Drynes of mouth and eyes, mental retardation, electrolyte imbalance, tolerence , psychosis,lactic acidosis, drug dependence, hepatotoxicity, parkinsonism and anemia...
