Takt time,Cycle time and Lead time

Takt time refers to the rate at which a product needs to be produced in order to meet customer demand. It is calculated by dividing the available production time by the customer demand.

Cycle time, on the other hand, refers to the total time it takes to complete a single unit of production. This includes all the individual steps and processes involved in manufacturing a product, from start to finish.

Lead time, meanwhile, refers to the total time it takes for a customer order to be fulfilled, from the moment the order is placed to the moment it is delivered. Lead time encompasses not only the production cycle time, but also factors such as order processing, material procurement, and shipping.
