the enstars music story makes my brain hurt: a compilation. again.

eichi is a master of psychological manipulation. or maybe alkaloid is just reaaaal naive.

either way, this can only end poorly.

this video was supposed to come out earlier, but then i realized that i can't just edit videos for 12 hours straight because i'm a human being unfortunately :(

some nifty behind the scenes info: the recordings in this video were actually done months ago back in january. at this point i've read up to episode 150, so i'll just be editing through all that for the next few weeks! also it took a lot of willpower not to call this one chipwrecked.

some Plot Stuff: the worst part about me basically reading the enstars story backwards is that i'm SO BEHIND. like all the other enstars lore girlies are talking about the new web series and i'm still just HERE!! but i am having fun and i really love getting to unravel the story at my own pace with you guys :)

also, to clarify: i don't actually think eichi is like EVIL or something. i don't think he's acting out of pure malice, and i'm sure in his heart he believes what he's doing is correct. if alkaloid's goal is to "become good idols," then maybe eichi's definition of "a good idol" involves being willing to sacrifice your life for the betterment of idols as a whole. so, in a way, eichi is helping them achieve HIS definition of "a good idol." but that still denies alkaloid their autonomy so!! i don't like it!! and that ALSO brings up ANOTHER idea i see a lot in enstars which is individualism vs. collectivism. BUT I WILL SAVE THAT CONVERSATION FOR LATER!!
