Our pickled beets recipe for canning pickled beets. Great for using in pickled beets and eggs. These are the beets we grow in our raised bed garden and were harvesting in our last video. Canned pickled beets are a real treat in the off season and around the holiday season. Even folks who don't care to cook beets will often eat pickled beets. Beets can also be boiled or rubbed with olive oil and salt, then roasted.
Ingredients Include:
Apple Cider Vinegar
Water
Sugar
Brown Sugar
Ginger
Whole Clove
Whole Allspice
Cinnamon Sticks
Note: To make pickled beets and eggs, simply mix canned beets and hard boiled eggs in a bowl with a lid, and leave covered in your refrigerator for 24 hrs before serving.
