For the people of Abbottabad in northern Pakistan, May 1, 2011 will be a day they never forget. It was the day they awoke to find that Osama bin Laden, the world's most wanted man, had been living among them for at least five years. Not only that but the al-Qaeda leader had been killed in a raid by a US special forces team that attacked without the approval or knowledge of the government in Islamabad. One month on, many questions about those events remain unanswered, particularly how bin Laden was able to remain undetected for so long and what the consequences will be for the country in which he spent his closing years. Imran Khan and filmmaker Farah Durrani were Pakistan in the days that followed the raid.
