1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 cup hung curd / thick yogurt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt / to taste
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Pinch of orange food colour
1 tsp dry fenugreek
some oil to cook
Ingredients for Base Gravy
2 to 3 tbsp vegetable oil / ghee
1 inch cinnamon stick
3 green cardamom
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 bay leave
2 medium onions roughly chopped
4 medium tomatoes roughly chopped
handful coriander stems
2 tbsp cashew nuts
3 to 4 dry red chillies
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp salt / to taste
1 cup water

1 tsp dry fenugreek
