Style: Chaturanga Workshop

Props needed:
2 blocks or books
2 small dumbbells or two same-sized bottles filled with water
1 yoga strap or belt or rope
1 blanket or towel

This workshop aims to help you work on your Chaturanga Dandasana through proper alignment and muscle engagement. Chaturanga, as part of the Sun Salutation sequence, is often practice many times during Ashtanga and Vinyasa classes. Chaturanga strengthens and tones the wrists, arms, abdominal muscles, and lower back. It prepares the body for more challenging arm balances. Similar to a traditional push-up, it also strengthens the muscles surrounding the spine, which helps to improve posture.
