DUSTMITE ALLERGY:WHAT ARE DUST MITES?
DUSTMITE ALLERGY:
WHAT ARE DUST MITES? These are Microscopic creatures that infest Bed, Pillow, Bed sheet, Curtain, sofa etc.
These are most common cause of allergy. They thrive in Hot and humid Climate and found in objects that come in close contact with Human Skin. They feed on Human skin. They are mainly 3 types in short referred as Dp, Df and Bloomia.
HOW COMMON IS DUSTMITE ALLERGY?
Dust mites are most common cause of allergy, nearly 30% people are Dust mite Allergic. It is very difficult to eliminate dust mites, cleanest countries like Singapore have Dust Mites. It is very difficult to eliminate Dust mites.
It is important to note that Indoor dust causes Dust allergy as it contains Dust Mites.
WHAT TO DO?
SKIN PRICK TEST to find Dust mite Allergic or Dust Allergic.
Reduce exposure to Dust mites to reduce Allergy.
TO OVERCOME DUST MITE ALLERGY
•Do not use OLD MATTERESSES
•Treat Mattresses with Sunlight and heat
•Soak bed sheets and pillow covers in hot water
•Discard old carpets
•Dispose old soft toys
•Wash Heavy Curtains frequently
•Prefer Synthetic Fabrics avoid Cotton
•Clean AC frequently
•Use Dustmite covers/protectors/encasing
