☀️ Morning sun exposure upon waking can be one of my top things to do to help wrecked cortisol. I swear by this, as when I couldn’t fall asleep despite being exhausted, I made this a priority and it helped SO MUCH!

However, this can be tough in our everyday life. So, this is when I’ll opt for or add in red light therapy.

This can also be of help with:
▫️ pain relief, like joint pain
▫️ muscle recovery
▫️ skin health (acne, wrinkles + more)
▫️ cellular health (repair & regenerate)
▫️ wound healing
▫️ and the things mentioned on the post

I do RLT for about 5-10 minutes in the morning most days, but should be done more like 10-30 mins. I sit about 6 inches away and close my eyes when it’s pointed at my chest & face. Eyewear is typically recommended. This is what’s realistic for me!

Side note: I get a lot of questions from nurses about shifts. I would personally do this upon waking on shift, and off shift to help get my body on the schedule.
