I am up with the homemade chakali bhajani recipe in marathi. The chakali is prepared out of the flour of chakali bhajani. Chakali is one of the all-time favourite recipe/faral. Every household who makes diwali faral /recipes will be well know with the chakali bhajani. Now a days due to time constraint every one opts for instant chakali however no one can beat the chakali made out of the homemade chakali bhajani. So let's make the chakali bhajani.

Ingredients:

1)  500 grams rice - Need to wash it properly and dry it well
2)  125 grams pearl tapioca / sabudana / Sago
3)  125 grams split yellow grams lentils / Yellow moong daal
4)  125 grams split chickpeas / Chana daal
5)  125 grams thick flattened rice / Thick poha
6)  125 grams split white grams lentils / Urad daal
7)  4 to 5 cloves
8)  1 piece cinnamon / Dalchini
9)   8 to 10 black pepper / Kali miri
10) 1 table spoon coriander seeds / Dhane
11) 1 table spoon cumin seeds / Jeera

Note - We need to clean all the pulses/lentils using a wet cloth and then dry them well using a dry cloth. This will save a lot of your time, however if you have a balcony / terrace or an open space you wash and dry them well under the afternoon sunlight.  

Method of cooking:-

1) Heat up the pan. (No need to put oil) simply roast each of the ingredients separately on low flame.
2) We need roast each ingredients separately as each of the ingredients has it or takes it own time to get roasted.
3) After roasting remove each of the ingredients in a same dish/plate/bowl. Mix up all the ingredients properly and now you need to take it to the flour mill for grinding.

Note - Need to give special instruction to the flour mill guy, saying don't mix or grind the chakali bhajani with wheat flour. Need to grind chakali bhajani separately. As it’s a Diwali festive it's very common to have chakali bhajani or chana daal /split chickpeas in the flour mill, so you can ask the guy to grind it after or along with other chakali bhajani or chana daal.
