TASK ANALYSIS: 1) Integrate the PREA standards for exam access and advocacy access into the correctional healthcare environment. 2) Develop skills and knowledge needed to preserve physical evidence of sexual abuse in a correctional environment
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: After completion of this training, participants will be able to 1) Conceptualize ways to assure that the PREA standard for access to the medical forensic examination are met. 2) Give examples of ways to meet the PREA standard for access to victim advocates. 3) Verbalize a way to meet the PREA standard for assuring that physical evidence is not destroyed. 4) Recognize standard medical care follow-up for the inmate who has experienced sexual abuse.
