One of the coolest and most unique Indian food experiences I’ve had at home is visiting an Indian supermarket. So, when I got the opportunity to visit the largest Indian supermarket in South Florida, I jumped at the chance! Come along with me as I visit Spice of India Farmer’s Market in West Palm Beach, Florida!

I took a day to drive 90 minutes north from my hometown of Miami to Spice of India Farmer’s Market in West Palm Beach. It’s a massive supermarket that offers just about every Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi food, spice, or ingredient you can imagine. They even have a chaat station where you can buy authentic Indian street food!

Inside, I met with my friend Anand, who would be showing me around. They have a massive selection of vegetables, spices, rice, and more.

To the right is the fresh produce, including tomatoes, eggplant, peas, peppers, and more. Nearby is the maggi.

Aisle 1 is the frozen section where you can buy ice cream, sweets, frozen curries, naan, parathas, and more. Then, you’ll come across frozen samosas and other entrees. Further on are different types of rice, including white, red, black, and basmati.

Toward the back is cookwear including utensils, woks, dosa pans, and more. In the next aisle are soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, and small plates and kitchenwear. They also have flours including chakki atta, chappati flour, and chickpea and rice flours.

Then, there’s an aisle of medicinal products like oils, herbs, and powders. To the left are tons of nuts and dried fruit.

The fourth aisle contains cookies and snacks, many of which you’ll find in chaats. I saw some chana, khari, banana chips, and biscuits.

The next aisle is full of chutneys, pickles, jams, and jellies. They have over 100 different chutneys. There are also lots of spices, including pepper, chili powder, turmeric, ginger powder, and coriander seeds.

Further on are lots of different types of dal, poha, yellow split peas, fada. Then, we reached the bakery section where they sell baked goods including samosas and kachori, as well as kathi rolls and chaats.

They also have some of my favorite prepared dishes, including palak paneer, gobi Manchurian, and paneer chilli! Paneer chilli is my favorite!

Nearby are fruits and the dairy section. At the bakery are samosas, fritters, tea, pani puri, sev puri, and bhel puri. I’d be getting some bhel puri. On top of the bhel, they added potatoes, chickpeas, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, green chilies, spices, green chutney, tamarind chutney, and more!

The aroma was incredible! I loved the light, airy crunch and the burst of sweetness from the tamarind. It was amazing! It took me right back to my first time trying it in Mumbai!

Then, I got some sugarcane juice, which we call guarapo in Miami. It was so delicious and sweet. I downed it in one gulp!

What an incredible visit to the largest Indian supermarket in south Florida!
