I have created a video demonstrating the process of crafting an Akoya pearl necklace with 8mm pearls using the All-knot technique. These Akoya pearls are of Japanese origin and feature a natural blue color without any dye. The necklace is currently available for sale on my Etsy shop: [Link](https://etsy.me/44D58P5).

The method for creating a necklace with All-knots is quite simple, but it can be challenging for those who are not accustomed to working with thread and needles. Additionally, it's crucial to enlarge the holes in specific pearls beforehand. In today's market, necklaces with visible knots like All-knots are relatively rare. In the past, silk thread was commonly used for pearl necklaces. Silk, being delicate, led to the practice of creating knots between each pearl as a safety measure to prevent the pearls from scattering in case the thread broke. However, with the adoption of synthetic fibers, concerns about thread breakage decreased, and the use of All-knots gradually declined.

Unaware of this history and the existence of All-knot necklaces, I was profoundly impressed when I came across pearl necklaces made with colored thread at a certain store. Up until that point, pearl necklaces had a formal and somewhat rigid image. However, All-knot necklaces with colored thread appeared vibrant, casual, and charming to me. I immediately researched the All-knot technique and practiced it daily.

As an employee in the pearl industry, I attempted to discuss this with my superiors, but they were hesitant to teach me. Many people tend to avoid All-knots due to the labor-intensive nature of the process. They fail to see the appeal of using All-knots when there's no significant concern about thread breakage with modern synthetic fibers. Additionally, they may not appreciate the aesthetics of colored thread necklaces.

For those who have been involved in All-knot necklaces in real-time, this practice might seem like going against the tide of modernity, akin to cooking rice in a traditional pot when there's a rice cooker available, leading to inconvenience and irrationality. I understand their perspective very well.

Perhaps it's because I lacked knowledge of this history that I found All-knots so fascinating. As someone who has developed a love for pearls, I earnestly hope that more people will become aware of and appreciate necklaces made with colored thread and Akoya pearls. Personal preferences vary, but I believe offering a broader range of choices when selecting pearl necklaces is essential.

Of course, for professionals in the pearl industry, creating All-knot necklaces should be relatively easy for most. If you have an existing pearl necklace, you can also consider seeking assistance from a local jewelry store. I hope that, even for just an hour, you and your pearls can go on an adventure together in the city. It's something that would bring joy to those involved in pearl cultivation as well.
