Walter Benjamin's Paris: Projecting the Arcades

This is a celebration (unfinished) of Walter Benjamin’s unfinished work, 'The Arcades Project' (Das Passagenwerk, 1927-40), which synthesises archival images of how the Paris arcades were in the old days, and in the 1930s when Benjamin studied them, with videography of how they looked in the early 2000s, accompanied by excerpts from Benjamin’s text and appropriate sounds and music.
