This video is based on my trip to Narwar Fort Shivpuri and I have told Narwar Fort history in hindi. Narwar ka kila(नरवर का किला शिवपुरी) is located in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh and is well known for Narwar garh ki ladai(नरवर गढ़ की लड़ाई) between Aalha and raja Makrandi. Narwar kila(नरवर किला) has seen many battles from 3rd century till 19th century and Narwar fort is also popular for Nal-Damyanti love story(नल-दमयंती की प्रेम कथा) from the times of Mahabharat. So, apart from Narwar kila ka itihas I will also show you some popular monuments in this fort including Narwar kila lodi mata(नरवर की लोड़ी माता/नरवर वाली माता).  You can also listen to नरवर वाली माता के भजन on youtube. A lot of people ask in hindi that नरवर का किला किसने बनवाया था so it is said that it is from the times of Mahabharat but actual buildings were made by the Kachhwaha kings. नरवर का किला दिखाओ or नरवर का किला बताइए  so finally I have come up with this video.

Located on top of a hill in Narwar town of Madhya Pradesh, Narwar Fort has centuries of history as well as architectural grandeur. Situated at about 500 feet above ground level and spread across a huge area of 8 km², this fort offers the tourists a glimpse into rich past of India.

This fort was constructed by the Kachwaha Rajputs in 10th century, Narwar Fort is known to  witness the rise and fall of a number of dynasties. Narwar Fort was successively held by the Kachwaha, Parihara, and Tomara Rajputs, it went under Mughal rule in the 16th century before it was captured by the Maratha chief Scindia in the 19th century.

As you step through the fort's entrance, you will be greeted by the “Chhip Mahal,” which is adorned with intricately carved pillars which are believed to be reused from an ancient Hindu temple. Other popular structures within the fort are Hawa Paur Mahal, Koriyon ki Haveli, Ladau Bangla, Phulwa Mahal, and more, each of them bearing traces of the diverse cultural influences in the region.

It is known to be divided by cross walls into four different sections which are known as “ahata” and “dholaahata,” the interior area of Narwar Fort is made with Rajput-style architecture characterized by flat ceilings, fluted columns, as well as multifold arches. Narwar fort’s layout resembles the neck, head, and bill of a duck, with the middle portion called as Majh Mahal or “Citadel” which offers panoramic views, while the northern quarter has the shrine of the revered saint Shah Madar.
