Ryan was sent to Bangladesh shortly after the crisis erupted as part of MSF’s emergency response. In situations like this, MSF first responds to the immediate medical needs, providing treatment for injuries, caring for expectant mothers or feeding malnourished children. But very quickly, other needs start to arise. As well as food and shelter, people need access to clean water and latrines. That’s where Ryan and the water and sanitation teams come in.
