Does paper surface really make a difference - Watercolor Demonstration

Is your choice of paper surface really that important? Traditionally Hot pressed papers (smooth surface) have been used by illustrators as it imparts very little effect on the brush stroke, allowing the artist-painter more control over edges and shapes. Here, in this video Does paper surface really make a difference watercolor demonstration I put my personal techniques on hot pressed paper to the test to see how much if any effect it has on the end result. Even though the finer detail might not be that obvious through the screens of our computer and various other devices it should still reveal any big changes on the way I paint.
