What are Chinese alphabets?
For spoken Chinese we need to learn pinyin and for written Chinese we need to know about characters.
Pinyin is a phonetic system for Chinese language.
Characters are combination of different symbols and these symbols are called radicals. In total there are 214 radicals.
Every Chinese syllable has 3 parts:
1. Initial
2. Final
3. Tone

Tones are most important and complicated part of Chinese language.
Chinese is a tonal language, in order to differentiate meanings same syllable is pronounced with different tones.

There are four tones and one neutral tone. These four tones are:
1. first or flat tone
2. second or rising tone
3. third or falling rising tone
4. fourth or falling tone
if a syllable is without tone mark then it is with neutral tone.
