A double psychological wound can feel like a body blow. One inside an abusive community feels understandable, but another one outside from someone you trusted and who encouraged you to leave can sometimes be more devastating.
It's my sincere hope that you take any good that you learned from the information that he gave nad use it to walk yourself forward. Sometimes the message is good even if the messenger is disappointing.
