Tamil Cinema Vachathi MOVIE is a real incident based on the famous Vachathi Case, a crucial crime that occurred in Vachathi Village of Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu on the 20th of June, 1992. A team of police officers and forest officials entered the Vachathi village searching for smuggled sandalwood. The team supposedly destroyed the houses, assaulted more than 100 men and raped 18 women.
