How to Install AlloyGator Grippers - Prepping Your Gator

So you've just received your
So you've just received your Gators and you're taking a look in the box and you see a bag of hardware and are thinking... "what is all this for??" Well we can certainly explain!
The bag consists of:
6 finishing tabs
1 tube of glue
stainless metal grippers
fitment gauge.
The first thing you should do is use the fitment gauge on your wheels and see if AlloyGator can be fitted to your wheels and tires. Insert the green end between the rim and tire and and bend down slightly. if the edge of the rim is in the green you're good, if it's in then do not install.
If your fitment is good, then you can take out the stainless grippers. The grippers are designed to be inserted into the Gator so it can grip on the backside of the rim. These grippers, along with the diamond grippers and the air in the tire will hold the gator in place. Stainless grippers grip the rim, the diamonds grip into the rubber of the tire and air pressure pushes it all together ensure a tight solid fit.
How do I install the grippers?
start at the tail end of the Gator and glue a stainless gripper into each slot going all the way up to your wheel size. Place a Gator between your thumb and finger with the serrated teeth facing away from you. Insert the gripper on an angle into the slot and use your opposing thumb to help guide and push in. It will take some practice so don't give up. These are also necessary to the installation so do not skip this step!
