This is a simple and easy Dahi Kadhi that we Parsees make. Its a sweet and sour Dahi Kadhi.
This can be eaten with plain white rice or our Parsi Khichidi

Ingredients
2 cups yogurt
2 table spoons gram flour or Channa Atta
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
3 green chillies finely chopped
1 inch piece grated ginger
2 teaspoons Sugar (Optianal if you want the Kadhi Sweet)
1 tablespoon pure ghee
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
3 dried red chillies
20 curry leaves
1/4 teaspoon Hing or Asafeotida

Method
In a small bowl mix together 2 table spoons gram flour or Channa Atta,
1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder,
1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder and 1/2 cup water.
Whisk everything until all the lumps have desolved. Keep aside

In another large bowl add 2 cups yogurt and 2 cups water
Whisk this well.
Add to this the gram flour mixture and whisk until everything is well combined
Add 3 green chillies finely chopped, 1 inch piece grated ginger and mix it in
Keep aside

Place a Kadai or Wok on Medium high heat and add the Yogust mixture to this
Add 2 teaspoons sugar and mix it in
The sugar is an optional step, if you want the Kadhi to be slightly sweet.
Bring this to a boil and lower the heat to Medium and simmer for 5 minutes
While this is simmering we will prepare the tempering to add to this

Place a Pan on medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon Pure ghee
Give it a stir and add to this 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 3 dried red chillies.
20 curry leaves, 1/4 teaspoon Hing or Asafeotida and stir
Add this to the simmering Dahi Kadhi and stir it well
Simmer this for further 3 to 4 minutes and remove from heat
