y'alllllll..... the series finale of
y'alllllll..... the series finale of legacies absolutely destroyed me!! When Klaus showed up! Oof that had me sobbing.... and it was AMAZING to see Caroline in the final episode!! But tbh the handon scenes (per usual) were my favorite.... like ik technically they weren't endgame but tbh THEY WERE ENDGAME.... I mean hope literally said (again) that she would always love landon in THE FINAL EPISODE. It doesn't get more concrete than that..... if there's one thing this show confirmed it's that there's always a loophole, so the finale being an open-ending just proves to me that handon would have eventually found a way to be together again.
tbh there are no other ships in any media like this one..... it's insane how much I've grown to love them over the years. they quickly went from being just a cute new ship to being one of my favorite ships of all time. I just love how unique and pure their dynamic is. They started out as two kids who had a crush on each other, to (years later) reconnecting and becoming each other's first loves, and then growing up together into a forever kind of love. Never wanting anyone else. They found their person and instead of ever considering growing apart as they grew up they navigated it all together. There's just something so wholesome about that. Too often in teen-centered shows there's breaking up and sleeping around and just all this searching for something or someone better. That's why it was so great to see a main ship that just cut out all the bs. they weren't free from drama, but they didn't create it unnecessarily. And, all the drama that did happen only led to them becoming stronger as a couple. It's a rare thing to have a ship that's just THAT good, that the writers don't need to rely on cheesy drama to make them interesting.
BUT enough ranting lol.....

The legacies fandom was DEFINITELY not free from needless drama and toxic behavior, but all the handon shippers I've encountered throughout the years were some of the sweetest people I've ever met on both youtube and twitter... you've made being a part of this fandom fun, and I'll always cherish the memories this fandom has brought me.
